SAFEguarding Our Kids
Children are our most precious gift and are extremely vulnerable to predators. Technology plays a crucial role when dealing with threats occurring exclusively online, typically through social media or messaging platforms. SAFE in the Panhandle is dedicated to providing awareness training and resources to families in our community. Statistics show a rise in the number of predators utilizing online enticement methods to lure children into vulnerable situations. In 2023 the cyber tip line received more than 186,800 reports of online enticement, the category that includes sextortion. Between 2021 and 2023 the number of online enticement reports increased more than 300%. In 2024 through October 5th, NCMEC has received more than 456,000 reports of online enticement. To make a cyber tip report, visit report.cybertip.org
(National Center for Missing and Exploited Children)
If you suspect a child is a victim of online exploitation, immediately report to law enforcement by calling 911, visiting tips.fbi.gov, or filing a report with NCMEC at 1-800-843-5678 or report.cybertip.org.

Although we hope to have some early wins, we know this is going to be a long-term fight. So we hope you’ll stand with us now, and well into the future, until our daughters, sons, sisters, brothers, granddaughters, grandsons and friends are no longer being sexually exploited. The button below will take you to a secure giving portal at the National Christian Foundation (NCF). NCF has partnered with SAFE by creating a Donor Advised Fund for us through which we can receive donations. It allows SAFE to stay administratively lean while honoring our donors by allowing them to make tax deductible donations.
