Elizabeth Bailey is a filmmaker, storyteller, and Director of S.A.F.E. in the Florida Panhandle. A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Elizabeth discovered her passion for filmmaking as a child, creating stories with her family long before pursuing the craft professionally. At 18, Elizabeth moved to Germany to study missions work, beginning nearly a decade of serving vulnerable communities across more than 11 countries. Her experiences included working alongside an Indigenous tribe in the Amazon, entering Syrian refugee camps in Lebanon, sitting with survivors of atrocities, and witnessing labor trafficking firsthand in Peru. These experiences shaped her deep belief in the resilience of the human spirit and the power of love, community, and support. After returning to Alabama, Elizabeth pursued her passion for filmmaking professionally, working in a variety of crew positions and learning the craft from the ground up. She had the privilege of working alongside accomplished filmmakers and industry veterans, gaining invaluable experience in producing, directing, and life on set. In 2020, Bruce Bailey alongside his daughter Elizabeth helped establish S.A.F.E., bringing their passion for exploitation and service home to their own communities. Fluent in three languages, Elizabeth has assisted local law enforcement with translation and interviewed survivors of human trafficking, using her voice and storytelling abilities to bring hidden realities to light. Today, Elizabeth lives in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, with her two children and serves as Director of S.A.F.E. in the Panhandle, where she works alongside her team to combat human trafficking and bring hope to those affected by it. Elizabeth believes that once you see something, you cannot unsee it. Her mission is to use her voice, experience, and storytelling abilities to shine a light into places of darkness—and to remind people that no matter what they have endured, they are seen, valued, and loved.
